“ACREATIONATOR is back at it with the second instalment of the sonically bustling and buzzing SONICA series. In this release, ACREATIONATOR focuses a lot more on sultry yet wistful synth tones whilst still bringing in the squelchy, molten metal sounds of an acid machine. The atmospheres are well fleshed out on this EP too, bringing in a lot of cold and metallic feelings. Like on the patient "Newgale" where this bassline leads a pack of sharp synthtones, a plucky, ambivalent refrain and distant, ethereal vocal natter which gives the track a feeling of traversing a deep blue ice cavern with a group you grew distant to. The track "Soren" is a pensive litany brimming with a bumbling, acid synth riff, a soughing vocal harmony in the bridge and a hefty pad. This excellent EP nit picks from the fantastic sounds of Oval, AFX, RX-101 and Microlith and blends it all in a heart-warming and pleasant smoothie!”- Jonny
